Kevin O’Doherty

Principal and State Solicitor for County Wexford


Education: BCL (UCD)


A native of Gorey, Kevin graduated from UCD with a BCL degree and was enrolled as a solicitor in 1977. He received his professional training with James J. Kearns & Sons, Portumna, Co. Galway before moving back to Gorey in 1984.   O’Doherty Warren & Associates was the merger of E.W Warren & Son and O'Doherty & Asscociates in 1988.  

Kevin has 40 years experience in general practice including property, civil and criminal litigation, compulsory purchase, probate and commercial law.  Kevin was involved in some of the first judicial review proceedings against state authorities and has advised statutory authorities.  He was also the solicitor in a number of higher and supreme court  cases which have become precedents. 

Kevin was appointed State Solicitor for Wexford  in 2001.  

In the early 1980’s Kevin was the Field Director with the international charity “Save the Children Fund” in Uganda and Ethiopia.  Kevin is currently on the board of the Gorey Educational Trust and is a Trustee of the East Africa Medical Trust.


Eleanor McKiernan



Education:   BA (DCU), MA (GCD)

Career |Expertise

Eleanor holds a  Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from DCU and a Masters Degree in Information Technology from GCD. 

Eleanor joined O'Doherty Warren Solicitors in 2004 moving from a background in the banking and I.T. sectors.  She completed her Traineeship with the firm and qualified as a solicitor in 2007. Eleanor has over 10 years experience in Conveyancing  - Residential, Commercial and Agricultural.  She also has extensive expertise in advising clients in relation to Company Law including Company Amalgamation and Re-construction, Wind Farms from conception, planning, financial close, property to securtisation.  Eleanor has expertise and advises on Landlord and Tenant Law,  Wills and estate planning.  

Eleanor is a member of the Conveyancing Committee of the Law Society of Ireland and has spoken at the Law Society of Ireland Property Conference.



Brendan Curran

Associate Solicitor


Education: UCB (BA), UCG (MA)

Career | Expertise:

Brendan qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and practises in the areas of litigation (including Personal Injuries*), employment law and professional regulatory law (Fitness to Practise/Fitness to Teach).

Brendan was previously responsible for the running of a large number of Fitness to Practise Inquiries on behalf of a statutory regulator and also provides representation on behalf of persons appearing before Fitness to Practise Inquiries.

Brendan has been involved in many significant cases that have been before the Circuit Court, the High Court, the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.

Brendan has also successfully represented employees and employers at the Employment Appeals Tribunal and the Equality Tribunal (now the Workplace Relations Commission).



Miriam Dillon



Education: BCL(UCD)

Career | Expertise:

Miriam holds a Bachelor of Civil Law Degree from UCD and qualified as a solicitor in 1979.

She has over 33 years of experience in general legal practice and extensive legal expertise in advising clients in the areas of Wills and Probate, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Estate Planning and Conveyancing.  

Miriam worked with O'Doherty Warren Solicitors for ten years and with Dillon Solicitors in Dublin for sixteen years. She rejoined O'Doherty Warren Solicitors in 2015.

Miriam was previously a full time tutor with the Law Society of Ireland engaged in the administration of training courses for trainee solicitors.  She is  an associate faculty member of the Law School and tutors in conveyancing on the professional practice course.
