Kevin O’Doherty

Principal

 

Education: BCL (UCD)

Career|Expertise:

A native of Gorey, Kevin graduated from UCD with a BCL degree and was enrolled as a solicitor in 1977. He received his professional training with James J. Kearns & Sons, Portumna, Co. Galway before moving back to Gorey in 1984.   O’Doherty Warren & Associates was the merger of E.W Warren & Son and O'Doherty & Asscociates in 1988.  

Kevin has 40 years experience in general practice including property, civil and criminal litigation, compulsory purchase, probate and commercial law.  Kevin was involved in some of the first judicial review proceedings against state authorities and has advised statutory authorities.  He was also the solicitor in a number of higher and supreme court  cases which have become precedents. 

Kevin was appointed State Solicitor for Wexford  in 2001.  

In the early 1980’s Kevin was the Field Director with the international charity “Save the Children Fund” in Uganda and Ethiopia.  Kevin is currently on the board of the Gorey Educational Trust and is a Trustee of the East Africa Medical Trust.

 

Meadhbh Ryan

Associate Solicitor

 

Education: LLB (UL)

Career | Expertise:

Meadhbh graduated with an LLB in Law and European Studies from the University of Limerick. She further obtained a first class master’s degree in Human Rights and Criminal Justice from Queen’s University Belfast. A native of New Ross, Meadhbh trained and qualified in general practice in Dublin.

She subsequently joined O’Doherty Warren in 2022 having moved back to Wexford. Meadhbh specialises in all areas of property law including, residential and commercial sales and purchases, mortgages, new developments, residential and commercial leases and voluntary transfers. Meadhbh further advises clients in relation to Wills, Probate and Enduring Powers of Attorney.

 

 
 
 

Anne Cunningham

Associate Solicitor

 

Education:

Career | Expertise:

Anne has many years of experience in legal practice working in both the public and private sectors. She contributes her expertise to the firm's legal team. She specializes in the areas of Wills, Probate, Elder and Capacity law. She has  a commitment to providing expert legal services to older individuals. She has post graduate certification in the Assisted Decision-Making Capacity Act 2015,(as amended).

She is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) , an international organization for professionals advising on family inheritance and succession planning. She is a founding committee member of Solicitors for the Elderly (Ireland).

In addition to her legal practice, she contributes to the profession through her work with the Law Society of Ireland as an associate faculty member in the Law School. She is involved in delivering training and professional development programs for trainee solicitors and acts as internal examiner in her areas of expertise. Anne has postgraduate Certification in delivering professional legal education and skills.

She is dedicated to helping clients navigate complex legal matters with professionalism and care.

 


Ciaran O’Doherty (UCD)

Associate Solicitor

 

Education: MCL (UCD)

Career | Expertise:

Ciarán began his legal studies in 2017 at University College Dublin, where he completed a two-year Master’s degree in Common Law. He subsequently passed the FE-1 entrance examinations and undertook his training contract with O’Doherty Warren Solicitors. After completing his training, he qualified as a solicitor in March 2025.

His work is focused on conveyancing and wills & probate. In conveyancing, he assists clients with residential and commercial property transactions, including purchases, sales, re-mortgages, and voluntary transfers. He advises first-time buyers as well as experienced property owners, ensuring that title, planning, and lending requirements are dealt with efficiently.

Ciarán advises clients on drafting wills and succession planning. He also acts in the administration of estates, from extracting grants of probate or administration to the distribution of assets, and provides guidance to executors and beneficiaries throughout the process.
