Over the years we have worked closely with leading experts in many fields and have a close working relationship with Barristers and expert witnesses in the area of Company Law.

The area of Company Law has undergone a significant change with the introduction of the Companies Act 2014 which came into force on the 1st June 2015. The Act repeals substantially all of the existing Irish Company Law and replaces it with one self-contained, consolidated piece of legislation.

The Act requires all existing private companies to restructure their form and constitution under a new regime of either a private company limited by shares (LTD) or a designated activity company (DAC). There is a transitional period of 18 months from the date of commencement during which companies can transition to the new structures and O’Doherty Warren Solicitors can assist and advise.
